FREELANCE WRITING SAMPLES AND SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT CREATION
Hi! Hello! My name is Linda Hosmer Spain and I’m a writer, producer and currently a social media manager for a Michelin-starred chef. Since we have yet to meet face-to-face, here’s a quick snapshot of who I am beyond my written and content creation experience. I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I’m bilingual: Spanish. I studied Broadcast Journalism at the University of Missouri, Columbia and immediately put that degree to work as a TV reporter. There I learned to stitch together a trio of skills I’m proud to possess: conversational writing style, zippy research skills and the ability to interview anybody (like my one-on-one interview with President Obama during my time as a reporter at a CBS affiliate in Nevada).
Writing has unlocked my ability to dip into many fields. I’ve worked for big name companies like TMZ and TBWA\Chiat\Day (Backslash). I’ve also had my words published by the L.A. Downtowner, Eater L.A., L.A. Taco, HANA visual content agency, gry space, Men’s Fashion Post (3M followers) , Caseology Cases and wrote/photographed an Instagram takeover on Downtown Los Angeles for Travel + Leisure.
During my free time I love to explore my city and take followers on that ride, free of charge on Instagram: @blockanimal.
